Summary "The anodic dissolution of Zn was studied in Cl⁻-Clo⁻₃; solutions at a temperature of 25°C. It was found that the apparent valence of Zn ions going into solution was approximately the normal value of two at low current densities. An empirical equation was derived relating the apparent valence to the current density and both concentrations of Cl⁻ and Clo⁻₃. An anodic dissolution mechanism was proposed"--Abstract, leaf 1.
