Summary "The purpose of this work is to investigate the possibility of using high voltage electrical heating to obtain increased stripper well production. A substantial portion of the oil produced in the United States is obtained from stripper wells. These wells reach their economic limit when they can no longer produce sufficient oil to justify the cost of operation. In the majority of cases, however, there is still a high percentage of oil in the sand. If a production stimulus of sufficient magnitude is introduced into the formation, oil, otherwise nonproducible, may be recovered. It is the writers thesis that high voltageĀ· electrical heating will prove to be such a stimulus"--Introduction, leaf 1.
