In recent years, with the advent of better roads and swifter Current Periodicalstion, visitors are coming to this beautiful spring in increasing numbers. For those who are geologists, this work will serve as a handy guide; for those who are laymen, this work may give a better understanding of the geologic events which have made this part of the Ozarks a place of scenic beauty. Mapping of the Meramec Spring Quadrangle will complete a program of geologic mapping of a strip of quadrangles across the Ozark Uplift from Rolla to ixdummysissippi River.
