For those who are geologists, this work will serve as a handy guide; for those who are laymen, this work may give a better understanding of the geologic events which have made this part of the Ozarks a place of scenic beauty. Mapping of the Meramec Spring Quadrangle will complete a program of geologic mapping of a strip of quadrangles across the Ozark Uplift from Rolla to ixdummysissippi River.
