| Summary |
"The original object of this thesis was to ascertain if coercive force measurements could be used for the determination of degree of malleablization in malleable iron. Since first stage graphitization was involved, it was only natural that an interest in the mechanism of first stage graphitization developed. The investigation which resulted from this interest was done primarily for the edification of the author, however it was subsequently deemed of enough importance to be included in this thesis. For this reason the thesis may appear at times to deviate from the original objective"--Preface, leaf iii. |
