Hydraulic fracturing. |
|
"This study confirms and characterizes a horizontal fracture induced by hydraulically fracturing the Pennsylvanian Warner Sandstone located in Vernon County Missouri. The fracture is verified using tiltmeters and pressure analysis. This work is significant because hydraulic fracturing previously performed in the Warner Sandstone has not been characterized and, in general, pressure analysis is not commonly applied in shallow fracturing operations. A background review of heavy oil sands in Western Missouri is included and a partial review of hydraulic fracturing theory is given"--Abstract, leaf iii. |
