Summary "In this study, an auction-based job allocation model is designed and developed within the framework defined in the National Science Foundation project entitled "An architecture for productive collaboration among small and medium-sized enterprises" (DMI-0323028). The model is tested and validated via simulation. The simulation model implements a hybrid auction mechanism, which is a combination of the sealed bid and reverse auction mechanisms, and incorporates information sharing and aggressiveness"--Abstract, leaf iii.
