Summary "This study was conducted on cores from Cushard #4 well of the Warner and Bluejacket Pennsylvanian Sandstones of western Missouri. The purpose was to characterize the reservoirs at pore level and to identify clays which may be movable or may aggravate formation damage during streamflooding the heavy oil sands. Based on porosity and permeability, data suggest that the Warner can be subdivided into three flow units namely W1, W2, and W3 and Bluejacket into two flow units namely BJ1 and BJ2. The middle layer (W2) in Warner, and upper layer (BJ1) in Bluejacket, are the two productive units in their respective reservoirs. The study also indicated that Bluejacket is more homogeneous than that of the Warner reservoir"--Abstract, leaf iii.
