| Summary |
"Carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) laminates have been successfully used to retrofit concrete structures. However, the presence of disbonds reduces the effectiveness of this strengthening method. Near-field microwave nondestructive testing (NDT) techniques have shown the ability to detect disbonds and delaminations in composite materials. The objective of this investigation was to develop a measurement system capable of detecting and characterizing disbonds in CFRP-strengthened concrete members. The probes investigated include a rectangular waveguide probe and a newly designed dual-polarized probe"--Abstract, leaf iii. |
