| Summary |
"Annular granular melanoma in situ is a type of lentigo malignant melanoma which is predominantly found in the upper part of the human body namely the face and scalp. An annular granular melanoma in situ typically consists of a region which may either be dark or light. This region is encircled by a light annular ring which is itself encircled by a dark granular ring. This research presents a technique for automatic detection of the annular granular melanoma and also distinguishes between the melanoma and benign images based on the color composition of the granular ring"--Abstract, leaf iii. |
