| Summary |
"This palynological study is part of a collaborative investigation of biogeochemical characteristics of fifty-nine shallow, ephemeral, hypersaline lakes in Western Australia and Victoria, Australia by researchers at the University of Missouri-Rolla and Central Michigan University. Data presented here were obtained from seventy-six spot and shallow core samples in order to interpret paleolimnological and environmental changes in thirteen of the fifty-nine lakes, with a majority of the data coming from Lake Brown, WA. Transmitted light and scanning electron microscopy were used to identify palynomorphs and dispersed organic matter (palynodebris) in the samples. In addition, electron dispersive spectrometry and X-ray diffraction analysis were conducted on one and four samples respectively"--Abstract, leaf iii. |
